L'Tangaa Terrell

L'Tangaa Terrell was born September 25, 1960 to Hollis Tyrone Terrell and Mary McBride Terrell. She was the fourth daughter of seven children. L’Tangaa attended Columbia High School and during her junior year she began dating the love of her life Gill Sheats, Sr. They later married and three children were born to this union, a daughter, Takis, and two sons, Gill Jr., and Brandon. L’Tangaa and Gill were inseparable! Their family began to grow with the offspring of grandchildren and L’Tangaa found so much joy in being with them. After graduation she started her career at Georgia Regional Hospital where she met many friends. She retired in 2019 as a Data Analyst after nearly thirty years of service. L’Tangaa was very dedicated to her job and she always found someone to serve and help because she loved giving and serving others. L’Tangaa loved the Lord, and had very strong faith in God. She was convinced of God’s love for her, and when she began to experience various illnesses it was always evident that she believed God’s Word and His power to heal her. From time-to-time she would visit those who had various illnesses telling them of how God had healed her body and her testimony greatly increased their faith. She enjoyed fellowshipping at her home church, Berean as well as visiting other churches. She loved attending bible study, church services and singing in the choir. L’Tangaa, who those close to her referred to as Tangaa, was full of fun and full of life! She is most remembered for her humor and her frankness. She had such a big heart and she so enjoyed being a blessing to others. L’Tangaa had great friends, most of them from high school, and they would always find time to get together and enjoy each other’s company. L’Tangaa loved her family and we loved her so much! She always looked forward to family get-togethers and was known for making us laugh hilariously and for bringing our favorite staple, her delicious potato salad! L’Tangaa was preceded in death by her parents: Hollis and Mary Terrell, her eldest sister Tireon Terrell Holt and her elder brother Hulet Theopholus Terrell. She leaves many to cherish her memory, her husband Gill Sheats, Sr., her daughter, Takis Sheats, her sons, Gill Sheats, Jr., (Julianne, daughter-in-law) and Brandon Sheats. Her grandchildren Netté, Ricari, Kynī, Amy, and Aiden; her siblings, Susan Terrell Bell, Tamika Terrell Brown (Cedric, bro ther-in-law), Pecco Terrell Costen (Wayne, brother-in-law), and youngest brother Darryl Terrell (Stacey, sister-in-law) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
