Kimberly Amelia Pennyman

Kimberly Amelia Pennyman, age 36, passed on June 6, 2020 in Oxford, Alabama. Kimberly Amelia Pennyman was born on July 7th, 1983 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. to the parents of Albert Pennyman III and Nattalie Alicia Pennyman. In her early childhood, Kimberly attended Cedar Grove Elementary, Lilburn Middle School and later graduated from Stephenson High School where she participated in the Army J. R.O.T.C program and received her Academic Diploma in 2001. After high school she decided to join the United States Army Military Department of Defense in 2002 and served a tour while stationed in Kuwait. Kimberly traveled across the country and overseas while actively serving in the military, until later being honorably discharged in 2005. Upon returning home to Atlanta, GA, Kimberly, affectionately known as (Kim, Kimmie, KP) worked various jobs and lived in different locations around the Metro Atlanta area, until later deciding to become a retired military veteran and choosing to reside in Oxford, AL. Kim was best known for her faith in God, love of music, animals, friends and family. She believed in helping others by being a humanitarian and volunteering to feed the homeless frequently during her spare time. She enjoyed simplicity and living a peaceful and comfortable life. Kim was also known for her strength and ability to be tough and persevere through any form of adversity. Kim has touched the lives of many with her compassion and joyous spirit and will be missed tremendously. She will now be resting with her loved ones Papa James Chandler, Grandmother Levercia Pennyman and Cousin Deon Pennyman who have also passed on. Kimberly is survived by her father Albert Pennyman III (Yvonne), mother Nattalie A. Pennyman, eldest sister Alicia (Willie) Adams and middle sister Monica (Garrett) Brassell, and nieces Aydalis Brassell, Morgan Yarbrough, Taylor Yarbrough, nephew Ezekiel Darden, Grandmother Minnie L. Chandler, Grandfather Albert Pennyman Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Services will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00 AM at our SOUTH DEKALB CHAPEL, 4347 Flat Shoals Pkwy Decatur, GA 30034. Internment, with military honors at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114. Friends may visit with the family Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
