Mr. Khalil Dickerson

Khalil Dickerson-Lipman was born November 27, 1994 to Torey Dickerson and Phillip Watson-Lipman, Bronx, New York. Our hearts are saddened at the homegoing of our beloved one. With grateful hearts we thank God for the love and light he shared with us during his lifetime. Khalil graduated from Grayson High School in Gwinnett County in 2012. He attended Georgia Gwinnett College where he majored in Marketing and later transferred to Gwinnett Technical College. Khalil loved cooking and continued sharpening his culinary skills in the food service industry, mainly working in the Gwinnett County and Walton County area. While working in the restaurateur' business, he simultaneously worked in the family run business, "Twisted Sisters Antiques, Vintage and Thrift store, located in Stone Mountain Village, Ga. Khalil cared about people. He was attentive and listened to what others had to say. He allowed one to express their concerns. He was strong physically and mentally, kind, patient, protective and humble. On family outings, he would focus his attention on each person, making sure we all were safe. He was everywhere at once. He was the same with friends as well. He loved both paternal and maternal families equally. After the passing of his father in 2003, whom he was dearly attached to. Khalil enjoyed cooking, music, travel, swimming and planning for future events. He especially enjoyed upcoming birthday celebrations, travel arrangements, family reunions, and community upcoming affairs etc. He was an excellent swimmer, he was on the YMCA swim team during middle school. He was on the Grayson High School Swim & Dive team through high school. Khalil volunteered and participated in community service, Annually, he participated in programs such as "Hosea Feed The Hungry and Homeless", He was a member of 100 Black Men mentor program of Atlanta GA, The program was instrumental in developing his conservative mannerisms among other important influences instilled through the mentor program and their leadership role models; to include HBCU College Tours. Khalil was an organized person, he functioned best in order, getting along and moving forward in a congenial environment. Khalil disliked division and discord of any kind. Kahlil"s family survived by mother, Torey Dickerson, brother Christopher Kyle Wright, Grandparents Betty Dickerson/Bloxham, Michael Bloxham, Paternal Grandmother Lynette Watson; A host of Special Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and God children that adored him. We Love you Khalil A visitation and viewing will be held at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes in Gwinnett on Thursday April 13th from 2pm to 6pm.
