Kaylan M. Jones

A beautiful baby girl, Kaylan Michelle Jones, born to Baretta and Grundy Jones on March 13, 1987 in Dallas, Texas departed this life on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in her home in Lawrenceville, GA after a very brief illness. Kaylan a devoted soul and lover of Jesus Christ, joined Salem Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Jasper Williams, Jr. where she served on the Youth Coinania Ministry and was a member of the Youth Choir. Kaylan was educated in the Gwinnett County Public Schools of Atlanta, GA and attended Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, GA. Kaylan loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was an exceptional mother who loved her children and would travel to the ends of the earth with them. She had the kind of energy that drew people to her from all walks of life of the party. She enjoyed outings with her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling and being a supportive Football and Baseball mom. You could always find Kaylan in the baseball or football parks screaming louder than any other parent or auntie on the sidelines. She loved her status as “Auntie” and she had nephews who loved the ground she walked. Kaylan was always a giver who wanted to expose all those lives she touched to better than before. Kaylan leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her three handsome sons, Jordan Alexander Moore, Malachi Malik Johnson, and Josiah Burney-Jones; her mother, Baretta Dennis of Lawrenceville, GA; father Grundy Jones (Giselle) of Shreveport, LA; one sister, Lauren A. Jones of Lawrenceville, GA; one stepsister, Latonia Williams of Shreveport, LA; two aunts, Carolyn Jenkins of Shreveport, LA, Marie Ross of Orlando, Fl; one great uncle James Ross of Houston, TX, two nieces, Faron and La’Tarica of Shreveport, LA; four amazing nephews, Je’verrion Williams of Shreveport, LA, Jeremiah, Cameron and Joshua Jones all of Lawrenceville, GA; cousins Morgan Johnson of Fort Worth, TX and Edna Ann Jelks of Keithville, LA; and a host of great nephews, neices, cousins and friends.
