Kathleen Reiley Cash

Kathleen Reiley Cash (Katie) passed peacefully in her sleep on July 29, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. Katie grew up in Long Island, NY, thus her distinct accent that defined her. She attended the Sacred Heart of Mary Academy in Bronx, NY. Katie then studied art at Nazareth University in Rochester, NY. She resided in many different states in her lifetime to include Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York and Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Reiley (Rio) and father, Robert Reiley (Gio) and brother, Robert Reiley, Jr. (Captain Bob) as she always affectionately called him. She is survived by her three sons: Sean, Brandon and Terence Cash. Katie touched people’s lives in a way unimagined by most. Her laugh and quick wit were infectious. No one would ever forget meeting this vivacious lady. She was an amazing mother to her three sons and loved them dearly. Katie believed in patriotism and sacrifice as a military wife; raising three sons on her own, after the father of her children (Terry) was deployed with the Marines in the Vietnam War. This was such an amazing feat in itself! Not only was Katie a mother, a sister and a daughter; she had one of the largest extended family one person could ever have. We all wanted and needed Katie in our lives. Many of us “Kessettes” worked with her in the early nighties. From then on, we would always be family. She had many sisters and nieces in St. Augustine, Florida. There were sisters, daughters and granddaughters in Texas and Georgia. We all loved her so! Katie always showed us more love than we could ever give her back. She defined the word, genuine! Katie held no punches. Sometimes you might not want to hear what she had to say, but it was always from a place of love. Katie would give anything in her power to help others. She enjoyed spending time with all her families, cooking great meals, hosting parties, traveling and attending Broadway musicals. Katie was an accomplished seamstress and loved to paint on canvas. We know she will continue to be our angel now as she was in life. Rest now, Katie. You have put your mark on this world and none of us will ever forget you. We will continue to celebrate your life and the bond that you built with each of us in our daily lives. We carry you with us, always! You are in our hearts until we meet again!
