Judy A. Jones

Judy A. Jones was born Judy Ann Harris, the fourth child of five to the late Jodie A. Harris, Sr and Carolyn Harris in Hampton, Virginia. Judy lived a life that reflected her deep faith, adventurous spirit, and gift for making everyone feel valued. Her faith was the foundation of her life—a guiding light that shaped her actions and inspired those around her. She found great joy in sharing her beliefs and offering kindness and encouragement to others, always leading with a heart full of grace. An avid traveler and former flight attendant, Judy embraced the beauty and wonder of the world. Her journeys, whether near or far, were filled with curiosity and appreciation for the diverse cultures, people, and experiences she encountered. She saw every trip as an opportunity to grow, connect, and marvel at the blessings of life. Judy had an extraordinary ability to make people feel like VIPs. Whether hosting a gathering or simply offering a kind word, she made everyone feel seen, loved, and special. Her warmth, thoughtful gestures, and attention to detail left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy is survived by her beloved spouse, Samuel Jones, who she shared a devoted marriage with for 26 years. Together, they built a life centered on unbreakable love, faith, and mutual support. Judy and Samuel faced life’s joys and challenges hand in hand, creating cherished memories and a legacy of love that will live on forever. Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Micheal Harris. She is survived by her siblings: Ricky Harris, Jodie Harris Jr, and Vicki Harris. She leaves her legacy to her children: Teresa Moss and Charles Jones (Etahjayne), and her adoring nieces and nephews: Diamond Cooke (Jonathan), Travis Freeman, Nigel Harris (Alexis), Kameron Jones, Kyle Jones, Ryan Jones, Korinthia Guary, David Guary, and LC Guary (Analeyna). Judy had a special place in her heart for the next generation. Her grandchildren, great-nieces, and great-nephews: Tamiya Moss, Javon Moss, Malaya Moss, Kaleyah Moss, Jonathan Cooke Jr, Jade Cooke, Sage Harris and many more. They were her pride and joy, and she poured her boundless love and wisdom into each of them. Her greatest hope was for each of them to embrace life fully, carry forward her values of kindness and resilience, and remember the love that will forever bind their hearts to hers. She fought the good fight of faith. Her family and those who loved her are grateful and thankful to have had her in their lives. Her presence will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of all who loved her
