Juanita Fisher

Evangelist Juanita Standifer Fisher surrounded by her beloved family entered into eternal peace on April 26th, 2018. She was 79. She was born to the late Sylvester & Arvie Gibson Standifer in Simsboro, LA. on Dec 15,1938. Three of her five siblings Raymond Standifer, Betty Louise Garrett, and LaMoyne Standifer preceded her in death. She is survived by Clara Abdelsamad Kansas City, Mo. and James Standifer, Los Angelos, CA. At the age of 12 her family relocated to Kansas City, MO, where she completed her formal education. Following her passion of helping and serving others she entered into a Nursing Program. Upon graduating she was respectively employed by the VA Hospital in Lansing, KS. Expanding her skills and desire to aid the critically ill, she accepted a position at Research Medical Center in Kansas City Mo and ended her Nursing career at Job Corps in Excelsior Springs, Mo. In 1980 she retired from Nursing but continued her passion of service to others. Evangelist Fisher was a member of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church under the tutelage of the late District Elder Walter Scott and Elder Lee Andrew Tolbert. She served as President of the Nursing Guild and member of the Usher Board for many years. Her calling lead her to Jesus is the Rock Pentecostal Church in Excelsior Springs, MO. where the late Elder Benjamin Day was Pastor. Later under the Pastorate of Frank Geathers, she served as Assistant Pastor, Superintendent of Sunday School as well as a Christian Educator for the NWDC. Evangelist Fisher leaves to mourn a devoted husband of 61 years, Deacon Olîver Fisher, Snellville, GA. Her legacy continues in Kirkland Fisher, Kansas City, MO. Stephen Fisher, Decatur GA, Zephyr Harris Cooperwood (JC) Gladstone, MO. Cheryl Fisher, Kansas City, Mo. Sarah Fisher, Snellville, GA and Anita Williams ( Charles) Snellville, GA. Seven beloved grandchildren, Melissa, Joshua & Joseph Harris, Stephen & Jordan Fisher, Darius Cannon (George) & Jonathan Williams. Seven Great Grandchildren. A special Aunt, Janet Gibson, Grandview, MO. A dear sister in law Marie Standifer, Winchester, CA. Loving God-son, Ryan M. Harris (Nicole), Houston, TX. And a host of family and friends.
