Josiah Emmanuel Williams, lovingly known as “JoJo,” age 8, was born on January 26, 2018, in Stockbridge, Georgia, to Shanique Flowers and Emmanuel Williams. From the very beginning, Josiah entered this world with a purpose far greater than his years. Josiah was a proud second-grade student at East Lake Elementary School where he was cherished by his school family. JoJo was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. His smile could fill a room, and his laughter was the kind that brought joy to even the hardest days. He had a curious mind, a kind heart, and a gentle spirit that made others feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether he was playing Roblox with friends, drawing, playing soccer, enjoying his favorite character Sonic, spending time with family, or simply being his joyful self, JoJo made every moment meaningful. He was a child who loved deeply and was deeply loved. Josiah shared a special bond with his mother, Shanique, who stood by him with unwavering devotion, advocacy, and tenderness. Their connection was one of pure love; a partnership of heart and spirit that guided him through every chapter of his life. Josiah also held a profound connection with his big brother Bryce, whose love and presence brought him comfort and strength. Josiah’s last words were “where’s Bryce?” Before his departure from this world on March 26, 2026, Josiah’s journey was marked by extraordinary strength. He faced complex medical challenges in the last five months of his life yet he met each day with a bright spirit, gentle resilience, and a heart full of joy. Josiah is survived by his parents Shanique Flowers, Emmanuel Williams, brothers Bryce Moises, Brendan Moises II, grandparents Ariene Johnson, Vinson Flowers, Joel Lynch, Rochelle and Kenneth Williams, godparents Martina Small (Aunt), Brendan Moises, his maternal uncles, Jayden and Kyle Lynch; his great-grandparents; Sylvia and Robert Cousins, Virlie and Clyde Flowers, his paternal aunts and uncles; along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2026, at 10 AM at First Baptist Church of Decatur, located at 308 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030.
