Johnnie Gaines Jr

Johnnie Gaines, Junior was born February 25, 1970 in Newark, New Jersey to Elizabeth Brown-Gaines and Johnnie Gaines, Senior. He attended the Essex County New Jersey Schools System at an early age and graduated from Elizabeth High School, in Elizabeth New Jersey. After graduating, Johnnie "Junior-Jae" decided to embark on his journey into the world of music. His music genre was Hip Hop, and he loved it! His passion allowed him to not only strengthen his own style, but to also see the skills and talent in others. "Junior-Jae" encouraged family, friends and even strangers to follow their passion for their love of music! Junior also had another creative talent, which was drawing. He was always drawing people, especially those within the music industry. Johnnie "Junior-Jae" was talented in both visual and performing arts, and was still honing his crafts during his spare time. In 2007, Johnnie "Junior-Jae" relocated to Covington, Georgia. He was employed with Pratt in Conyers, Georgia prior to his passing. Cherishing Junior's memories are his parents, Elizabeth and Johnnie Gaines, Sr. of Covington, Georgia; son- Jarelle Canyon of Minersville, Pennsylvania; sisters- Jennifer Gaines-Thomas (Emerson) of Linden, New Jersey and Jannell Gaines (Alrahin) of Conyers, Georgia; granddaughter- Janiya Canyon; grandson- Jamir Canyon; nieces- Jamease Thomas and Jordynn Mitchell; nephew- Jalen Wactor. Junior will also always be remembered by his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Jae's best friend, Raheem Williams. WHEN I AM GONE When I am gone, release me, let me go I have so many things to see and do, You must not tie yourself to me with tears Be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I travel on alone. So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must, Then let your grief be comforted by trust, It's only for a while that we must part So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on So if you need me, call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen within your heart, you will hear All my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone.
