Jennifer Smith - Franklin

Jennifer Alicia Smith Franklin, born on March 5, 1974, left this world on October 20, 2024. Jennifer was a loving individual and a natural born leader, fiercely strong willed and profoundly hard-working, her beliefs, her compass. Her life was characterized by vibrancy and tenacity, and she was known to live to the beat of her own drum, always leaving those around her with laughter and smiles. Jennifer's legacy will be carried forward through her descendants, a testament to her hardworking and resilient nature. She is survived by her loving daughters, Alexis Smith, Alexandria Thomas-Smith, Allyanah Johns, and A’more Chambers, and her cherished son, Andrew Franklin. Jennifer's memory will also forever live in the hearts of her mother, Yvette Smith, as well as her brothers, Anthony Scott and Derek Smith. Jennifer also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh Smith, Noah Smith, Kai Houston, Sophia Romero, Alaia Romero, Neriyah Smith, her loving companion Glenn Langs along with his children D’andre and Jaylen Langs and several wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Smith. As a dutiful mother-in-law, Jennifer will also be fondly remembered by Jared Smith and Shannon Romero. She was an epicenter of love, comfort and guidance, always cherishing the bonds forged with her family. Her lessons of staying true to oneself, persevering against all odds, and prioritizing family care shall continue to guide and strengthen her loved ones. Jennifer's life was a testament to her resilience and determination as she accomplished much, becoming a licensed practical nurse and a proud mother. She had a particular fondness for binge-watching crime shows, and films, and loved spending time with her family. Her favorite color, matching her strong spirit, was black. Her favorite music was that by Michael Jackson which often filled her home with joy and rhythm. Her favorite drinks included Cognac and Dr. Pepper, a symbol of her unique taste and love for the finer things in life. Jennifer leaves behind a legacy of hardworking, resilient children and grandchildren. Her teachings and lifestyle have left an indelible mark on those fortunate to be part of her world.
