JENETTA PATRICIA WALLACE of Chapelton, Clarendon, Jamaica W.I. departed this life Sunday January 7, 2024 after a short illness, she died peacefully with her children and grandchild by her side. Jenetta was the eldest of seven children born in Coleyville, Manchester, to Iris Brown and Alfred Powell. Sister Jean, Miss Jean, Pat, Sis Wally, Mother Wallace, Elder Wallace as she was affectionately called, attended a private high school. After graduation, thanks to the assistance of a benefactor, she was enrolled in a prominent International Business college in Jamaica where she studied Secretarial Science and was proficient in "Short Hand." At an early age Jenetta realized Secretarial Sciene could not maintain her lifestyle. At the time she had her first child, then she met Stanford Wallace in 1963. They married on September 23, 1967. The union produced ten children between both. Mama and her husband became entrepreneurs early in their marriage. They owned several successful businesses, including a retaurant that was named after her (Pat's Highlight), since Papa affectionately called her Pat. In the early eighties, Mama and family migrated to the United States in hopes of better opportunities for her children. Mama/Mother would always remind us that she has been serving the Lord for over fifty years and she was a Servant's servant, because whatever she did was unto the Lord. Mama lived in several states and every church she attended knew that she was there to work ardently for the Him. So Mama the fashionista, servant of the Lord, best mother in the world; words to decribe her by: "I DID IT MY WAY", as Frank Sinatra would say. Mama's expressions: (I am going through, I pressing on, I am still here, I am not giving up, I am on my journey, glory, glory when I lay my burden down). Jenetta was predeceased by Parents, Husband, daughters Collette (Jennifer) and Suzette (Loye), sister Maizie, and brother Lascelle. Leaving to Mourn: Children: Claudette, Neville, Ingrid, Wentworth (Pat), Ray, Ricky (Melanie), Otis (Marlyn), Wade (Toya), a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Paulette and Joyce, brother Audley, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, church family, and zoom room family. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 1:00AM at Tabernacle International Church - 270 Simonton Road SW, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, Senior Pastor, Apostle Fritz Musser. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12th from 4:00PM-8:00PM. Interment will take place at East Shadowlawn Memorial Gardens. Please express your condolences here on our website. Gregory B.
