**Obituary for Jarard Garrett Cooper** Jarard Garrett Cooper, age 26, of Tucker, Georgia, passed away on May 17, 2026. He was born on July 14, 1999, to Garrett and Kimberly Cooper in DeKalb County, Georgia. At an early age, Jarard accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was christened and baptized at Peace Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia. Jarard was a bright, kind-hearted, and adventurous young man who cherished life and the people around him. Although he had no siblings, he shared a close and loving bond with his first cousins, affectionately known as “The 12” - April, Paul, Jason, Greg, Yasmine, Porsha, Victoria, Stefon, Synamon, Bianca, Brandon, and Jarard. Through family gatherings, group chats, vacations, or everyday moments, their bond was unmatched and filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He also shared a special and loving relationship with his first cousin Courtney, whom he loved like a sister, as they were raised together. Jarard graduated from Tucker High School in 2017 within the DeKalb County School District and later earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of West Georgia in 2021 in Carrollton, GA. Jarard was dedicated to serving others through his work and community involvement. He worked as an IT Technician with the DeKalb County School District and as a Youth Counselor with the YMCA, where he positively impacted the lives of many young people and families. He also volunteered with Charis Christian Ministries through their homeless outreach program, demonstrating his compassion and willingness to serve those in need. Jarard loved sports and was a huge fan of the Florida Gators. He proudly cheered on his team against the favorite teams of “The 12,” creating fun rivalries, friendly debates about who had the best team, and countless moments of laughter. Jarard embraced life with a spirit of adventure. He loved traveling, being near the water, taking deep-sea fishing trips with his dad, exploring nature, riding ATVs, and capturing moments through photography. He was also a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed the excitement and thrill of racing. Affectionately known by many as “Coop” and “JC,” Jarard’s kindness, gentle smile, loving heart, and genuine spirit touched countless lives and created memories that will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved him. Jarard leaves to cherish his memory of his loving parents, Garrett and Kimberly Cooper; a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many lifelong friends who became family through their brotherhood, the Billionaire Boys Club Part 2. Following the celebration, Jarard will be laid to rest at Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
