Born on May 1st, 1997, in Brooklyn, New York, Jamal brought joy and laughter into the lives of his parents, Tarik Jamal Butler and Shawana Lolaine Butler. A graduate of St. John's Baptist High School in West lslip, New York, He spent his formative years in Bayshore, New York, where his love for sports, particularly football, blossomed. Jamal's journey led him to Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, where he graced the football field with his talents. Jamal's departure leaves an unfathomable void, piercing the hearts of his family and countless others who held him dear. He had a gentle yet profound way of expressing his love, often through heartfelt text messages and warm embraces, revealing a depth of affection that knew no bounds. Though he was a man of few words, his infectious smile and boundless humor spoke volumes, touching the lives of all who knew him. Jamal shared a special bond with each of his siblings, a bond that will forever be cherished. Jamal embraced variety, relishing the thrill of learning new trades. Alongside his brother Tarik Jr., he honed his culinary skills as an assistant sous chef, weaving his passion for discovery into his everyday endeavors. Jamal leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his loving parents, Tarik and Shawana Butler; his siblings, Tarik Butler Jr., Brandie, and Kennedy Butler; his grandparents, Jack Butler and "Gobby" Rozlyn Legree; his aunts Renee, Shantell and Tennille Lester, Tasha and Emani Butler, Tara Legree, his uncles Anthony Butler (Sharmaine), Marvin and Marcus Legree, along with numerous cousins, relatives, and friends. In the embrace of eternity, Jamal reunites with his departed grandparents, David and Lolaine Lester, Cassandra Butler, and uncle Maurice Butler. Though his physical presence may fade, his essence remains eternally alive within us, a beacon of love and light guiding us through the shadows of our grief Though Jamal has bid farewell to this world, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
