It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jahlil Donald Burks, affectionately known to many as "The Donald," who left this world far too soon on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 21. A beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, Jahlil was a bright light whose charisma, talent, and infectious spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Born on Wednesday, December 1, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, Jahlil was raised in Decatur, where he built a life filled with creativity, ambition, and purpose. He was known for his remarkable ability to connect with people and inspire others through his work as a self-employed content creator. Whether through his videos, his humor, or his authenticity, Jahlil brought joy, laughter, and encouragement to countless people, leaving behind a lasting legacy of positivity. Jahlil's passions extended far beyond social media. He had a deep love for ballroom dancing, where his grace and confidence reflected his vibrant personality. He also pursued acting with unwavering determination, boldly chasing his dreams in the entertainment industry. Those closest to him knew he believed his journey was only beginning, and through God's blessing had recently been casted as the next Black Spider-Man—a dream that embodied his confidence, imagination, and desire to inspire future generations to see themselves represented on screen. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Jahlil's life and cherish the memories they hold dear. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home – Flat Shoals Chapel in Decatur, Georgia. This gathering will honor Jahlil's extraordinary spirit, his accomplishments, his dreams, and the immeasurable love he shared with everyone around him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory – South DeKalb. During this time of profound loss, may we find comfort in the countless memories, laughter, and moments of love that Jahlil gifted to us. Though his life was far too short, his impact will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many lives he touched. Jahlil's passing leaves an immeasurable void, but his memory will forever remain a guiding light. He is survived by his loving family, who sincerely appreciate the prayers, kindness, and support extended to them during this difficult time. May the life of Jahlil Donald "The Don" Burks forever remind us to dream boldly, love deeply, and live authentically. May he rest in eternal peace, forever cherished, forever remembered.
