Jack Vincent Pampalon

Jack Vincent Pampalon, age 78, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was predeceased by his father, Jacques Joseph Pampalone and mother, Frena Rachel Saade. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marie Denize-Pampalon. To celebrate his life and honor his memory, he leaves behind: - Brother: Michael Joseph “Chip” Pampalon (Lynn), - Daughter: Angie Maria King (Brad), - Son: Jonathan Pampalon (Brickley) and grandchild, Piper, - Nephews: Michael (Kilo), Joseph (Jenny), - Nephew: Andrew (Jennifer) and great-niece, Mia, - Step-children: Dgiovahni, Dmitrius; Dan and step-grandchild, Brayden, - Cousins, friends, and loved ones. Jack was born in Atlanta, GA on September 21, 1945. After high school, he earned a BS in Education from the University of Georgia. He dedicated a significant part of his career to Minick Engineering before establishing his own Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Design company. Known for his kindheartedness and ability to connect with others, Jack never met a stranger. Jack had a passion for soccer, both playing and coaching, and enthusiastically supported the Atlanta United and Manchester United teams. He was a founding member of the Atlanta United, a team that held a special place in his heart, along with his beloved Georgia Bulldogs. A committed Christ-follower, Jack often recited his favorite prayer, The Prayer of Saint Francis. He cherished his time sharing his “Happy Place” by cruising the ocean with Marie, particularly looking forward to their upcoming Mediterranean voyage. Jack enjoyed good food, especially Marie's cooking, and always volunteered to help with the dishes. In addition to his professional and sporting interests, Jack was a dynamic individual with a wide range of hobbies. He loved fishing, painting, and cherished memories of his first car; his “Giddee’s (grandfather’s) old Chevy”. An animal lover, he formed strong bonds with his cats, Scooter and Kali, and enjoyed the company of neighborhood dogs, Hershey and Charlie. In fact, when Charlie would get off the leash and run through the neighborhood, it was Jack’s whistle and warm invitation that brought him over and kept him still long enough for his owner to contain him. Though a humble man, Mr. Pampalon enjoyed luxuries like adding to his collection of Olympic pins and appreciating a neat pour of Johnny Walker Black Label. Jack's spare time was often spent on his back porch, sipping coffee while observing birds and squirrels. He found joy in watching hockey and soccer and treasured moments with family and friends. Jack will be remembered fondly and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lilburn, GA.
