Henry Allen Peoples

Henry Allen Peoples, 77, of Snellville, GA passed on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Mr. Henry Allen Peoples was born in Madison, GA on June 11, 1946, to Jasper & Polly Mae Peoples. The family later moved to Decatur, GA. This would become the place where he grew up and thrived. He loved swimming and playing youth baseball. He was educated in the Dekalb County school system from elementary through high school. He also attended Dekalb Technical College. He married Charity Phillips- Peoples, their loving union lasting 53 years. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He joined Thankful Baptist Church, and later became a devoted member of World Changers Church International. He was a natural born salesman. He sold insurance, shoes, and cars. He was treasurer for Atlanta Spartan. He retired from University Ford Mazda, as Finance Manager. He loved to spend time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. He was enthusiastic in his love for the Lord. On visits to him, one could always count on him to give a sermon. Henry answered his eternal call Wednesday morning, February 14, 2024. He fought the fight, kept the faith, and God decided it was time for him to come home. Mr. Henry Peoples was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper & Polly Mae Peoples, along with his brother, Phillip Peoples, and brother in- law Oliver Tucker. Mr. Henry leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife Charity, children, Carmen Nelson (Omar), Reginald Peoples, Sr. (Summer), Melissa Woodberry (Joseph), brother Jasper Peoples (Bettie) sisters Geraldine Tucker, Gloria Lee, and Allison Peoples, sister in-laws, Normal Phillips, Ronnie Bridges, brother in-law, Horace Phillips, grandchildren, Chris Nelson, Sean Nelson, Nia Nelson, Reginald Peoples, Jr., Grey Peoples, Savannah Peoples, Nigel Vincent, Aaron Chaney, Joseph Jones Jr., great grandchildren, Madison Dior Clay, Alise Aeryn Chaney along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, 11:00AM at our GWINNETT CHAPEL location 914 Scenic Hwy Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Visitation will be held on TODAY, February 2/22, 2024, from 12:00PM- 8:00PM at our GWINNETT CHAPEL. Interment will be held at Washington Memorial Gardens 700 Jordan Lane Decatur, GA 30033.
