Gloria Rich

Gloria Jean Rich was born February 4, 1962 in Fayetteville, North Carolina from the union of the late Deacon Lonnie Douglas Rich, Jr and Overseer Christine Rich. She entered her eternal rest on July 27, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. Although she has physically departed, her legacy of love and compassion continues to live on in Jesus Christ through her family and friends. Her vibrant smile was the product of her faith-walk in God. She had a deep passion for prayer, praise, and worship. She had joy in sharing with others the blessings of her grandchildren, children, and family. Gloria was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her dedication within the medical field was always seen with dignity, laughter, and grace. She loved working with children and adults as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. After leaving North Carolina, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she continued her career at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and at Atlanta Medical Center for 22 years. Gloria had over 30 years of experience in providing respiratory healthcare service to the general public. She retired and enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren, children, and family. Her educational accomplishments are as follows: an Associate degree in Respiratory Technology at Fayetteville Technical Community College in N.C., a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Biology from the University of North Carolina at Winston-Salem, WSSU. She was a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority INC. whose vision is “for all women and their families to reach their full potential in all aspects of life globally through community service, civil service, and social action.” After college, she started her journey in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. Gloria accomplished many things, but the ones she highly esteemed were her children and grandchildren accomplishments, singing, and praising God. She was always willing to listen and provide sound advice to others. She will be missed and will continuously be remembered as the woman of God who loved the Lord with all of her heart. Gloria was preceded in death by her grandparents Timon (Ella Mae) Melvin, Lonnie Douglas Sr (Clida Bell) Rich, her father Lonnie Douglas Rich Jr, and her sister in-love Jernice Stocks. She leaves to cherish her son Pastor Michael Ray Fulton Jr (Felicia), her daughter Christina LaRay Fulton, her three grandchildren: Jeremiah Douglas Isaiah Fulton, Noah Malachi-Ray Fulton, and Emani Faith Fulton. In addition, she leaves to cherish her mother Overseer Christine Rich, four sisters and five brothers. Lastly, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Celebration of Life Services for Gloria Rich will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 12PM. These services will be recorded and streamed live.
