Geneva Cadell Monte

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Geneva Cadell Monte, who was born on January 30, 1945, in Moncks Corner, SC, to Henry and Virginia Cadell. Geneva was a vibrant and cherished woman whose warmth, strength, and joyful spirit touched all who knew her. Geneva, a devoted caregiver and longtime daycare owner, left behind a legacy rooted in compassion, patience, and unwavering dedication to children and families. For more than 30 years, she opened her doors—and her heart—to generations of families, creating a safe, nurturing environment where children could learn, grow, and feel loved. Born with a natural gift for caring for others, Geneva turned that passion into a lifelong calling. Her daycare was more than a business; it was a second home to countless children who remember her for her warmth, gentle guidance, and steady presence. She took pride in helping shape young lives, often staying connected with the families she served long after the children had grown. Geneva will be remembered not only for her strong work ethic and commitment to her community, but also for the kindness and joy she brought into the lives of everyone who knew her. Her impact lives on the many children she helped raise and the families she supported over the decades. Her legacy continues through her children; her beloved daughter Monica Wagner; devoted sons, Reginald Wagner Sr., Terrell Sr. (LaShawna) Wagner all of Georgia and Curtis (Adrian) Wagner of Florida. She is lovingly remembered through her grandchildren: Terrae McMiller of North Carolina; Cameron and Jordan Wagner of Florida; Wagner Huff, Terrell Wagner Jr., Reginald Wagner Jr., London Wagner, and Kaleb Stocks, all of Georgia. She also leaves to cherish her memory her adored great-grandchildren: Ava, Zahir, Zariah, Raleigh, and Reginald III and Kylen Harris all of Georgia, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She is also survived by her seven siblings: Jennifer (Leo), Linda, Carol, Sheila, Deloris, Lonnie, all of New York, and Deborah of South Carolina; along with a host of extended family members, cherished friends, and loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy of love, kindness, and strength. She is preceded in death by her spouse James Monte; her loving parents, Henry and Virginia Cadell; her brothers Jerome and Larry; her sister Vivian; and her grandson Rodney (Taylor). Though she is no longer with us in body, her vibrant spirit, beautiful smile, and loving heart will live on in the memories of all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply loved and forever missed. Services entrusted to Gregory B.
