Gabrielle Johnson

Gabrielle Andrea Johnson departed this life to return home with the Lord our God on June 29th, 2024. Gabrielle was born January 18, 1988, in Atlanta, Ga. A natural born leader with abundant talent to include the gift GAB...As a child she was always talkative and could mix and mingle even with the adults. She astonished everyone she came across and quickly grew into a woman who met no strangers. As a Gates Millenium scholarship recipient, she earned a bachelor's degree from Spelman College, a master's degree from the University of California and was in pursuit of her doctorate's degree. Gabrielle never stopped her pursuit of a higher education. She volunteered in her community helping Veteran's, tutoring children, mentoring adults and children. As a tax professional, Gabby prepared tax documents for clients, friends and family. Gabby's drive pushed her to set new goals, that pushed her to keep reaching and achieving the goals she set while still focusing on being the best mother. On October 14, 2023, she stepped out on faith and accepted a position, relocating to Alabama to become the Financial Director of Accounting at Faith Chapel Christian Center. She dedicated her life to raising her child Savannah Grace, instilling true values, principles and morals that will strengthen her throughout life and the roads ahead. Gabrielle was a faithful believer in GOD and his greatness. She never questioned or wavered in her faith. While striving to become a certified accountant (amongst many other talents), she enjoyed performing. Spoken word-is her favorite form of self-expression and being a plus sized model who didn't mind the spotlight walking in fashions shows and performing live. Gabrielle, Gabby but known as "Andrea" by her family is survived by her only child Savannah Grace, her grandmother, mother, father, stepdad, brothers, sisters, great aunts, great uncle, aunts, uncle, cousins and In-law's. With her pure heart, she had so many unbreakable bonds with people she considered extended family (aka her tribe). Nurturing meaningful relationships and connections with friends, co-workers, teachers, church family and her community in both Atlanta and Alabama. Gabrielle Andrea Johnson will always be remembered for her bubbly personality, love of others, patience, understanding and her tremendously kind heart.
