Ms. Faye C. McCorkley, 92 of Conyers, GA passed on February 1, 2025. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Rainbow Park Baptist Church 2941 Columbia Dr. Decatur, GA 30034. Apostle James C. Thomas, Sr. officiating. With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Fay McCorkley White, who entered eternal rest on February 1, 2025. She was born on August 29, 1932, in Glengoffe, Jamaica, West Indies, to the late Edward McCorkley and Collis White McCorkley. Fay was the second of five siblings: Rita, Edward (Jay), Beryl, and George. She was a woman of faith, having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior, and she lived her life in service to others, both personally and professionally. A Life of Service and Dedication Fay dedicated her career to nursing, a calling that took her around the world. As a Registered Nurse, she served as a Travel Nurse, working in Europe, Greece, and Italy. She later worked at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and also served as a Private Duty RN and Nursing Supervisor. Her commitment to caring for others was evident in every aspect of her life. In her early twenties, Fay migrated to the United States (New York), while her siblings moved to England. There, she built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. On November 16, 1971, she married Vandall Radcliff White, and from this union, they were blessed with two children: Deborah Grace and Phillip Paul. In 1999, Fay moved to Georgia to help her daughter raise her children. She continued to be a pillar of strength and love within her family and community, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and dedication to serving others will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
