Eula Wade Roberts

Eula Wade Roberts, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family at Emory University Hospital. Born on March 13, 1947, in Wadesboro, North Carolina, Eula's life was a testament to love and dedication. Eula was the cherished daughter of Nina and Ulysses Wade and grew up alongside her siblings, Arlene Cherry, Edith Pittman, and Aubrey Wade, all of whom preceded her in death. She was known for her warmth, her wisdom, and her unwavering commitment to her family. Eula pursued her education with passion, earning a degree in Social Services from North Carolina A&T and was a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Her professional journey was marked by a deep commitment to helping others, dedicating her career to social work. She spent 20+ years serving the city of Alexandria at Alexandria Works, where her compassionate nature and leadership skills shone brightly. Eula ultimately rose to the position of Director before retiring in 2009. In her personal life, Eula was married to Eugene Parsons, with whom she shared 23 years and two beautiful daughters, Sharon Jeanine Parsons and Karen Jeanise DeGrammont. Later, she found love again with Lenwood Roberts, with whom she shared many happy years before parting ways in 2009. Eula was a devoted grandmother to Jaden Alphonse DeGrammont and Mason Emmanuel DeGrammont. After retiring, she moved to Atlanta to be closer to her family, playing an active role in raising her grandchildren. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aroma of her cooking. Eula’s hobbies were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She adored scrapbooking, caring for her loyal dog Buster, and spending time in her flourishing garden. Faithfully watching her favorite soap operas and creating beautiful memories with her family were among her greatest joys. Throughout her life, Eula was a beacon of love and support to her extended family. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon and Karen; her grandchildren, Jaden and Mason; her niece, Jackie Wiggins; and her nephews, Jon O’Neal and Marlon Cherry. Her family will forever cherish the memories of her wisdom, her gentle guidance, and her boundless love. Eula's legacy is one of compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family. Her proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched through her work and personal connections. A celebration of Eula Wade Roberts' life will be held on Monday July 15th at 11am at the Gregory B Levett & Sons Funeral Home in Scottsdale, GA. Friends and family are invited to gather to remember and honor a remarkable woman who made the world a better place through her kindness and generosity.
