Errol Lloyd Liburd

Errol Lloyd Liburd was born to Ms. Venetta Liburd and Mr. Moses Daveron on the beautiful Island of St. Kitts on July 12th, 1960. With the help and support of her older sister Yvonne Liburd and mother Agatha Emery, Venetta was proud to give birth to her first son. Errol grew up in St. Kitts with his grandmother whom he loved dearly. Growing up in St. Kitts as a young boy, Errol loved going to Sunday school. He was always the first one to get to the bell to ring and gather all the other kids to join him at church. At the age of 16, Errol relocated to St. Thomas USVI and worked his first job at Pueblo Supermarket. He then moved to New York City and continued employment in a warehouse for 25 years. While his friends were into sports, Errol fell in love with the sound of Music. Music became an integral part of his life where he enjoyed it to the fullest. He worked at WABC radio show and was a well-known West Indian Disc Jockey. In addition to loving music, he was one of the most well-dressed and groomed individuals and his attire was always sharp like a knife. He used to dress to kill which earned him the nickname “Saga Boy”. Another joy to his life was when his daughter DeAnna was born. He was so proud to be a father and loved her dearly. Errol then decided to relocate to Florida but became ill which slowed him down a great deal. He moved in with his mother Venetta who assisted him through his illness to help him get his health and strength back which was not easy. After a few years, his mother relocated to Georgia where Errol resided with her until his untimely passing. Errol was a strong-minded individual who loved his family and his country St. Kitts/Nevis which he frequently visited before becoming ill. Although he was stubborn at times, he was a pleasant and kindhearted person who gave to others in their time of need. Errol was family oriented and was a big eater. He loved his Aunty Marilyn and her delicious home cooked meals. He was a simple person who did not spoke much but was just happy being alone at times as long as he had his music. Errol will certainly be missed and will not be forgotten. We love you Errol and will continue to keep you in our hearts giving us comfort that you have now gone home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Ms. Venetta Liburd and Mr. Moses Daveron; His daughter Ms. DeAnna Sumter; His grandchildren, Antoinia, Mya, Mikey and Makala Sumter; His sisters Ms. Jean Liburd and Ms. Jacqueline Liburd; His brother, Mr. Stephen Liburd; His paternal siblings along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who are too numerous to name individually. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” - John 3:16 Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, September 2nd, 2024, 1:00 pm, at Gregory B.
