Visitation from THURSDAY 9 -9 Family hours 7-9pm at our GWINNETT chapel 914 Scenic Hwy Lawrenceville Ga, 770-338-5558.Elizabeth Agatha Anderson, born Nov. 23rd, 1926, in St Andrew, Jamaica, to the late Henry and Cecile Anderson was called home on May 26th 2013. Those left to cherish her memories are her children Terrence, Earl, Delroy, Dennis, June, Pauline, and Sonia, daughter-in-law: Denise, Sons-law Adrian and Lloyd; also, Ashlyn and Fitz, who she regarded as her own children. Grandchildren: Marcia, Ann Marie, Shawn, Omar, Corey, Samuel, DeAndre, Andrew, Bianca, Courtney, Ted, DeVaughn, Shaquille, Darius, and Daniel, Great-grandchildren: Jermaine, Shanique, Danielle, Danika, India, Samantha. Great-great-great grandchild: Devante. Nephews: Michael and Wisden; many Great- nephews; Niece: Marsha; many Great-nieces, and a host of other relatives and good friends. In her early years, Elizabeth attended King Weston All Age School. Then she attended sewing/designing school. After, graduating from sewing/designing school, she moved to Kingston to start her career as a seamstress. In 1959, she migrated to England where she worked for many years at the Accident Hospital in Birmingham. In 1968, she returned back to Jamaica and resumed her career as a seamstress in Kingston. In 1982, she migrated to the United States and lived in Hartford Connecticut, where she became a member of St Justin Catholic Church. Elizabeth worked at Travelers Insurance Company and retired in 1992. Upon retiring, she moved to Georgia and spent time in Jamaica. Throughout her life Elizabeth??s focus was taking care of her family and helping others in anyway she could. The characteristic of her generous nature was evident in her involvement, as a very involved grandmother who helped to raise and foster her grandchildren. She dedicated her time with doing charity work at her church, Our Lady of Angel Catholic Church in Jamaica, where she was a visiting parishioner during her stays there. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club, Because of her dedication and hard work; she has received several awards from these organizations. She was loved by her family who honored her as the matriarch with the legacy she now leaves behind. Elizabeth was well traveled and would often be found visiting her children and host of relatives, in England, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida, respectively.She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, sewing and meeting people. Elizabeth has touched and changed the life of each person she met throughout her lifetime, with her kind words and thoughtfulness. She always looked for the good in people. She was a very caring and loving person, who was always surrounded by many friends and family who loved and cherished her. Elizabeth will remain forever in the hearts and minds of those left behind.
