Mr. Dwight Lamarr Williams

Dwight Lamarr Williams was born December 14, 1969, to loving parents, Arthur and Barbara Williams, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL. He was the first-born son of his six siblings. After moving with his family to Decatur, GA, he would have the honor of attending Southwest Dekalb High School. While attending Southwest Dekalb, he was a member of the Panthers basketball team. Dwight graduated from high school in May of 1989. After graduating high school Dwight continued his studies at Piedmont Community College, in Dekalb County Georgia. In 1992 Dwight decided to serve his country by joining the United States Army where he served for four years. Dwight dedicated his life to the Lord and was baptized at New Birth Baptist Church in 1985. He recently started attending The Church Covington under the leadership of Pastor Darryl Hooper. The decision to join the Army turned out to be one of the best decisions Dwight has ever made. That decision took him to a duty station in Germany where he would meet the love of his life, Eva Moell. Dwight decided to make it official and marry Eva on October 20, 1994. The two remained in Germany for four years and welcomed their firstborn daughter, Tanisha Williams in 1998. The couple decided to move to Georgia in 2000 where they would later welcome their only son, Lamar Williams, and baby girl Cinayah (Cece) Williams. Dwight was known for being an amazing husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Most people that knew him would tell you that he had an undeniable love for watching his children on the ballfield. He spent countless hours training, coaching, and cheering them on as they worked hard on the field. If he wasn't at the ballfield, he could be found cooking for his family, fishing with his siblings, or mowing his yard, but his greatest joy was those quiet moments that he got to spend with his wife Eva watching Netflix. Dwight had a long successful career as a sales representative for Sarah Lee and Utz. On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, God decided that He was ready for Dwight to come home. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Eva, and three children, Tanisha Williams, Lamar Williams, and Cinayah Williams. His parents, Arthur and Barbara Williams, and six siblings, Cathia Williams(Gary), Arthur Williams Jr., David Williams, Mark Williams(Kemba), Dorothy Williams, and Eric Williams(Lanivea). A host of nieces, nephews, and family both related and unrelated.
