Mr Dwayne Aiden John

Dwayne Aiden John was born to Clarine John and Earle Finlay on June 17, 1985, in St. Georges, Grenada. In his early years, Dwayne moved to the United States, where he was raised in Brooklyn, New York. He was a bright and quick learner from a young age, showing a deep enthusiasm for knowledge and creativity, with a particular fascination for automobiles and technology. Dwayne's educational journey began at Little People’s Day Care Center, followed by Hanson Place SDA Elementary. He was recognized for his exceptional intellect in Mahaila Jackson Middle School’s gifted program, where he displayed a passion for reading and a talent for absorbing information. His academic brilliance continued at John Jay and Sheepshead Bay High School, where he also cherished playing volleyball and forging lifelong friendships. He was particularly noted for his natural aptitude for mathematics, often assisting his classmates with ease as he found the work too easy for him. Dwayne graduated in 2003 and furthered his education at New York City College of Technology. Dwayne would return home to Grenada throughout his childhood where he developed a deep love for his country and culture. He even had a pet dog German Shepherd back home named Bandit and most recently a dog in Georgia named Casper this love for pets continued throughout his life as animals quickly took a liking to him. Dwayne accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and was subsequently baptized in Brooklyn Faith SDA church in his early teens. Known for his eccentric and charismatic personality, Dwayne's bright smile and alluring aura were a sight to behold. Dwayne's authenticity and honesty were evident to all who knew him. His animated spirit, strength, and unique behavior were as real as his sensitivity towards humanity. His intellectual gifts were matched by his innate ability to be helpful and reach out to those in need. Dwayne did not have one fake bone in his body, he was real through and through. If he thought something, he said it with his trademark strong and commanding voice and he stood on it with integrity. Family, fun, and connectivity were important to Dwayne. As a loving brother, Dwayne adored his siblings—Ron, Shawn, Crystal—and affectionately called each one of them by name whenever he arrived home, as he rushed to the fridge to find his mother's most recently cooked food, which he loved dearly. He would then Hug his mother Clarine and greet his Father Ashton before engaging in enthusiastic conversations with the family. His genuine and loving nature made him a joyous presence in their lives. Professionally, Dwayne was well-rounded and well-traveled, Dwayne was a versatile individual with a wide array of skills. He worked and lived in New York, Virginia, Georgia, and Alabama at various stages in his life. Meeting countless people along the way. His career spanned construction, plumbing, electrical work, car sales, and car technician work. Dwayne was so knowledgeable on vehicles you could point out any make or model and Dwayne would give you an entire run down and analysis down to the specifications as if he were reading the manual before your eyes! Most recently Dwayne excelled as a travel technician at the Mercedes-Benz facility in Vance, Alabama. Dwayne's charm was undeniable, especially to the women who loved and adored him throughout his romantic life, and his affinity for children and his warm approach to life earned him love and admiration from many. His recent passing has revealed the true extent of his impact through the outpouring of love and support from those he touched. Dwayne leaves behind a legacy of love for his country, Grenada, loving others and showing people how to love, a testament to his remarkable character. He is survived by his loving family in Georgia and extended family in Grenada, New York, and elsewhere around the globe. Dwayne leaves behind a legacy of love and connection that will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He is deeply missed by his beloved mother, Clarine Duncan, his father, Ashton Duncan, and his adoring siblings, brothers Ron Duncan, and Shawn Duncan, sister Crystal Duncan, brother Earle Finlay Jr. and Darren Noel. His memory is also cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, his life is celebrated by the John, Duncan, and Finlay family and numerous friends who became like family. Each of these individuals, bonded by Dwayne’s spirit and love, will carry forward the light of his presence in their own lives. Dwayne's journey on earth has concluded, but his story will be recounted with love and admiration, inspiring those who knew him to live with the same compassion and vigor that he embodied.
