Donald Ray Spencer, 67, of Stone Crest, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his residence on January 22, 2025. Born in Los Angeles, California, Don lived a life marked by purpose, accomplishment, and an indomitable spirit. Faith was a cornerstone of Don's strength. Raised in a deeply spiritual household, he found solace and purpose in the church. Playing drums in the choir and absorbing the wisdom of his stepfather, Dr Herbert Bryant, and mother, Ida Mae Bryant, instilled in him a profound sense of faith that guided him throughout his life. Don began his career at the forefront of technology, excelling in the then-revolutionary photocopier industry. He was District Manager of Pitney Bowes where he received several awards and accolades for leadership and mentorship throughout his tenure. He later transitioned to the mortgage brokerage business, where he built a successful enterprise. Throughout his professional journey, Don was admired for his charisma, generosity, and unwavering drive. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country with distinction. Beyond his professional pursuits, Don was a passionate aficionado of sports and entertainment. His eclectic musical tastes, love for audiobooks and concerts, and dedicated support for the Los Angeles Rams and Oakland Raiders fueled his vibrant spirit. Whether enjoying a film, a captivating show at home, or a boxing match with his sons, Don cherished life's simple pleasures and deeply appreciated the talents of others. Facing the challenges of a chronic illness with determined optimism, Don exemplified resilience and adaptability. His positive outlook and generous spirit remained steadfast, inspiring all who knew him. Rooted deeply in his soul, Don's unwavering faith in God provided him with the strength, resilience, and courage to navigate life's hardships. It was the foundation upon which he built his strength, offering him the peace to transition without fear or anger. Don is preceded by his Mother Ida Mae Bryant and Granddaughter Raya Reid. He is survived by his sisters, Renette Spencer and Melody Rodriguez; his children, Portia Spencer, Brandy Arnold, Dominique Spencer, Danielle Reid, Joshua Spencer, Christopher Spencer, Donovan Spencer, Devon Spencer, Niya Spencer, and Donald Spencer II; his grandchildren, Raven Rush, Skylar Fomond, Mateo Spencer, Lewis Reid, and Lucas Reid; and his great-grandchild, Jamie Jamyr Rush and several cherished Nieces and Nephews. An Incredible Father, Brother, Son and Friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to have known him.
