Demetrius Antwan Weems

Demetrius Antwan Weems, 36, passed away on July 28, 2016 at his home in Snellville, Georgia. He was the husband to Shaunta M. Weems. They shared 5 years of marriage together. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 27, 1980 he was the son of Bonita and Fernando Hunter. He attended National American University and was working on his Graphic Design Degree. He was employed at Staples as a Print Specialist. He was a member of Anointed Vision of Hope in Riverdale, Georgia. He enjoyed spending time with his family and playing video games. He will always be remembered for his ability to arrange artwork. He is survived by his wife, Shaunta M. Weems (Lovejoy), his son Masen Deshaun Lee Weems; 2 stepsons, Arick and Kameren Truss; his mother Bonita Hunter and father Fernando Hunter; his two sisters, Kissamee Hunter and Kierra Mitchell, his mother-in-law, Andrea L. Hall; his aunts and uncles and a host of cousins, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katherine Copeland (grandmother) and Robert James Mitchell, Sr. (grandfather). The memorial service will be held on August 1, 2016 at Anointed Vision of Hope, 8049 Webb Road, Riverdale, GA 30274, Pastor David Arnold, Sr will be officiating. The repast will immediately follow the memorial service at the Weems’ home, 3149 Meadow Point Drive, Snellville, Georgia. Please don’t give flowers, or talk in harsh tones. Don’t be concerned about me now, I’m well with God; I’ve made it home Don’t talk about what could have been, it’s over and it’s done. Just see to all my family’s needs, the battle has been won. When you draw a picture of me, don’t draw me as a saint, I‘ve done some good, I’ve put some wrong, so use all your paint, Not just the bright and light tones, Use some gray and dark. In fact, don’t put me down on canvass, paint me in your heart But if you must do something, then I have one last request Forgive me for the wrongs I’ve done, and with love that’s left Thank God for my soul’s resting Thank God for all who love me Praise God who loved me best Anonyms
