With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life and legacy of Darlene Lawrence, who peacefully departed this life on May 18, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on October 6, 1959, in McDonough, GA. Darlene was the beloved daughter of Charlie Lawrence (deceased) and Ethel K. Fish Lawrence. At an early age, Darlene was baptized at Springfield Baptist Church, where she began building the spiritual foundation that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Stockbridge High School and later attended courses at Perimeter College. Darlene went on to build a successful career as a supervisor with the Internal Revenue Service, where she worked with dedication and professionalism. Darlene was truly a woman of strength. She lived life on her own terms andcarried herself with courage, determination, and independence. Strong-willed and decisive, she served as a role model to many who admired her resilience and confidence. She believed in creating the life she desired and was known for her strong sense of business, perseverance, and ambition. She was known for her wisdom, honesty, and unwavering spirit. Her presence commanded a room, and her strength inspired those around her. She loved her family deeply and valued the relationships she shared with relatives and friends. Darlene also shared a special bond with her aunt, Bessie Harrison, who truly enjoyed talking with her and cherished their conversations and close relationship over the years. Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Lawrence; and her brothers, Larry Fish, Bennie Charles Lawrence, and Stanley Lynn Lawrence. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her mother, Ethel K. Fish Lawrence; her siblings: Suretha Deese (brother-in-law Gerald Deese), Linda Lawrence, Tommy Lawrence (sister-in-law Shirley Lawrence), Michael Lawrence, Cynthia Lawrence, Carl Lawrence, and Sebrina Fleming (brother-in-law Bobby Fleming), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love and strength. Though our hearts mourn her passing, we celebrate a life well lived. Darlene Lawrence leaves behind a legacy of courage, independence, and perseverance that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. The Celebration of Life Service for Darlene Lawrence will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
