OBITUARY DAHLONEGA CHEEOMETREECE TAYLOR, affectionately known as “Chee-Chee,” was born January 10,1974, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA, to Loretta Ellison and the late Robert Taylor. She departed this life on February 12, 2024. Growing up, Chee Chee was a very curious and outgoing child who often preferred to experience life on her own terms. She attended Atlanta Public Schools from G. B. Peterson Elementary and East Atlanta Middle School. She graduated from Alonzo A. Crim High School in 1992 where she excelled in sports and extracurricular activities like basketball and the drill team. She also had a passion for haircare as she was an excellent and accomplished licensed cosmetologist. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at First Norman Grove Baptist Church in Scottdale, GA, under the leadership of her late grandparents, Bishop Eddie Ellison, Sr., and First Lady Gaynell Ellison. Chee’s relationship with God was unmatched, because no matter how hard life would get for her, she always found strength through prayer and God’s word. She was a fighter and never gave up on life. Every obstacle she faced; she reigned victorious over every single one. Dahlonega was a very vibrant spirit and brightened every room she walked into. She was a person who never met a stranger and often adopted people she met as extended family. She had a generous and genuine heart that would lend a hand to anyone in need. She gave freely, loved openly, and forgive endlessly. Due to her beautiful personality and dedication to those she loved and admired, she was well-known throughout the cities of Atlanta, Decatur, Conyers, and Covington, GA. She leaves to cherish her sweet memories: her devoted and loving family, mother, Loretta Hall (Kenneth); son, Willie Robinson, Jr.; daughter, Kayla Hopkins; grandchildren, Karter, Kaesyn, and Ka’ Ariah; siblings, Orantes (Cannon), Alpha and Omega Grant, Robert, Fredrick, and Brittany Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives, family, and friends with honorable mention to her special, forever friends, Frank and Teresa. Celebration of Life Service (LIVESTREAM) will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in our Chapel. Interment Kennedy Memorial Gardens.
