Mr. Curtis L. Jackson, 58, of Norcross, GA passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, 3:00 pm at Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, Gwinnett Chapel, 914 Scenic Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045, 770-338-5558 On August 14, 1965, in Albany GA, the late Daisy Ruth Overstreet Jackson, gave birth to her fifth child and named him Curtis Lee Jackson. Curtis was a very rambunctious child and he made friends very easily. He grew up in the Dougherty County School System and declared himself a class of 1983 Golden Tornado. Curtis was the father of five beautiful children: Kurtis, Ashley Chanel, Timothy, Shaina Nicole, and Arlynthia. He moved to Atlanta in 1986 and pursued different careers. In September 2000, he met Audrey Graham. They married on May 14, 2004. Through that union he gained two more loving sons Jason and Jarvis Chatman. He also fell in love with Audrey's parents, Mr. Aubrey Graham and Mrs. Betty Graham of Florida. Curtis had a unique personality and was, at times, hard to love. But to know him was to love him. He watched out for the people he cared about and made a deep impression on so many lives. He was very caring in his own way. Curtis’ zodiac sign was Leo and it fit that personality perfectly. He was a true protector, our very own ‘Leo the Lion’. If you met him throughout his life, you would definitely remember him. His nickname was ‘blowhard’ for a reason. In his last days of life, he became terminally ill and shielded himself from everyone. He transitioned March 28, 2024. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Daisy Ruth Overstreet Jackson; his daughter, Arlynthia Byrd; his three sisters: Verdel Bolden, Cathy Jackson, and Katrina Jackson; and his father-in-law, Mr. Aubrey Graham. Curtis leaves to celebrate his life, his wife Audrey Jackson; his children Kurtis (Gaberiel) Jackson, Enterprise AL, Ashley Chanel Jackson, Albany GA, Timothy Byrd, Vidalia GA, Shaina Nicole Jackson, Atlanta GA, Jason (Janeil) Chatman, Buford GA and Jarvis Chatman, Norcross GA; his mother-in-law, Mrs. Betty Graham, FL; His seven grandchildren Gav'yn May, Kelise Jackson, Aaliyah Jackson, Aubrie Dabney, Journee Chatman, Jayce and Makayla Chatman; his five siblings, Charlie Jackson, Larry (Pamela) Jackson, and Shalanta (Leonard) Jackson, Albany GA, Marcus (Sanchon) Jackson, Conley GA, Chantel Williams of Dallas, NC; his brothers-in-law Aubrey (Michelle) Graham and Terrence (Denise) Graham, Locust Grove, GA and sister-in-law, Pamela Graham, Bayshore NY. He also leaves a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that loved him so very much.
