Consuella Catrice Chatmon

The Life of Consuella Catrice Chatmon Loving Companion, Daughter, Granddaughter, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, Friend Consuella Catrice Chatmon departed this earthly life to her eternal rest, onFebruary 25, 2016. She was born to the late Myrtice Hamilton-Chatmon and special father figures Jerome D. Chatmon and Daniel (Karen) Harris on July 10, 1972 in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a member of Hunter Hill First Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia. She was affectionately known as Swayla, Pooh, and Connie Sue by those who loved her. Swayla was a dedicated worker whose life was passionately committed to loving and caring for family and her patients. She attended local schools in Niagara Falls and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School in 1991. Swayla continued to persevere in her educational pursuits at Orange County Community College in Middletown, N.Y., where she earned a certificate for Phlebotomy. She was employed by Gwinnett Medical Center in Duluth, G.A. until a chronic health condition affected her ability to work. Consuella was a strong, nurturing, determined, and loving woman. Connie Sue loved to cook, entertain loved ones, and talk on the phone. She could be found enjoying movies, all sorts of music, social media, and girl’s trips. She truly loved to see those around her smile. The many pictures that she enjoyed taking was indicative that she was a fun person and full of life. She was preceded in death by her Brothers: Demetrius Hamilton & Cornelius Chatmon. Grandparents: Dallas and Mary Maggielin Chatmon, Arthur Lee and Ruthie Hamilton, and Sanford and Flora Harris. Consuella leaves to cherish her memory a wonderful brother: Jerome D. Chatmon, of Niagara Falls, NY,; a loving, committed, and devoted companion of many years, Booker Harris, of Atlanta Georgia,; Very Special Cousins: Tracey Patton, of Atlanta, Georgia and Joe Patton Jr of Buffalo, NY. She will also be greatly missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, and a host of friends. Celebration of Life Services for Consuella will be held 6PM Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at our SOUTH DEKALB Chapel 4347 Flat Shoals Parkway Decatur, GA 30034. Visitation TUESDAY 10-8. Interment New York.
