Mr. Clarence Piner Jr

Clarence Piner Jr. Affectionately known as Big Brother and “Pop” to his children, went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2024 at age 82. His wife Barbara Ann Williams Piner who is also deceased. Clarence is survived by two sons Earl Piner, wife Tanya, children Earl Jr, Caleb, Saniya, Aiden, Fernando Hamiliton his wife Erica, Demitri Tolbert wife Darianne and Corterrius Gary wife Jalexus. With 10 Grandchildren Audrey, Emeri, Llijah, Kylie, Taylor , Morganm Josiah, Ayden , Cadien and Noah. His 2nd son Charles Williams, wife Michelle and 5 Grandchildren Viche, Selah, Destiny ,Kaylee, Amari and great grandson Azai. He was born to Morris C. Piner and Mattie Mary Milner Piner on July 15, 1941 in Tallassee, Alabama. He attended and graduated from Robert Russell Moton High School. At 18 after graduation he enlisted in the Army, leaving from Montgomery, Alabama and for the next 30 plus years, he belonged to Uncle Sam and loved it. He traveled all over the world and was sent to fight in the Vietnam War. After serving his time in active duty he retired as a Sergeant Major in 1985 with an Honorable Discharge. During this time, Clarence challenged himself to go back to school. He received his Bachelor of Science in Management and Computer Information Systems from Park College & his Master of Business Administration in Computer Resources and information Management from Webster University. Clarence immediately put his degrees to work as he worked for several government agencies like the Pentagon in the I.T department. Clarence was well liked by his superiors and peers because of his relentless work ethic. One of his favorite quotes were, “You can pay now and play later, or you can play now and pay later.” He worked extremely hard and was a great provider. After living around the country Clarence and Barbara finally settled down 25 miles outside Atlanta Ga. His two brothers Ira Lee Piner and Willie Roger Piner, both deceased. He leaves two sisters Sarah Piner Isom, husband Reginald Isom,one daughter Jocelyn Pearson Gray and two grandchildren Sarah Tabitha Pearson and Christopher Gray Jr. Barbara Piner Fisher, Rufino Fisher, deceased. From that union produced 2 children Rufino jr, Michelle: Salima fisher Cabot and Todd Cabot, one daughter Simone Fisher Cabot. They produced 1 grandson and 2 granddaughters. With his loud Boisterous laugh, his hard nose approach only speak what was on his mind and not hold anything back, to his ability to be so kindhearted to take time out to sit you down and talk and help you whenever he could. Pop will be sorely missed.
