Carrie Christine Cooper Grant Sunrise…… Carrie Christine (Bit) Cooper Grant was born November 17, 1927 to Charlie and Carrie Cooper who preceded her in death. She was the fifth child out of six siblings. All her siblings preceded her in death Charlie Arthur Cooper, James Edward Cooper, John Henry Cooper, Louise Shepard, and Elizabeth Solomon. A Life Well Spent……… Christine attended the DeKalb County School system. At an early age she gave her life to God. There she learned to love, give, and help others selflessly. Christine met the love of her life Paul Fears Grant and was united in holy matrimony September 20, 1947. She held three jobs in her life time being a loving mother of seven kids, working at Morgan Laundry Cleaners, and was the CEO of her Daycare in Winder, GA. They attended Temple of God Inc. under the leadership of Evangelist Josephine Rhodes. After years of attending Temple of God Inc. and the death of Evangelist Josephine Rhodes, Elder Paul Grant became the pastor of Temple of God Inc. Mother Christine Grant was a faithful and virtuous first lady until her death. She loved traveling, singing, and dedicated her life giving and caring for others. During their seventy year union seven children were born. Three of her children preceded her in death Earnest Lee Cooper, Ruth Williams Thompson, and Calvin Grant. Sunset…… On Tuesday afternoon September 26, 2017 God lifted her burdens and gave her peace. She suffers no more and our souls are well and our heart are happy. Those Who Remain……. She leaves a loving and devoted family who cherish many fun memories. Survivors, husband Elder Paul Fears Grant of Monroe, GA; four surviving children three daughters and one son. Sandra Grant Hines (Robert) McDonough, GA.; Shelia Grant Fallen (Rick) Lithonia, GA; Robert Louis Grant (Pamela) Monroe, GA; Sylvia Grant Stokes (Clinard) Fayetteville, GA. They raised two daughters at the age of 63 Shanedra Vincent Monroe, GA.; Lakedra Vincent Madison, GA. Fifteen grandchildren Kecha (Michael), Leontray (Tracie), Deontray (Sabrina), Vincent, Marcus (Nicole), Roderick (Chairmyce), Rahbi, Tio (Kenzel), Jahi, Jamila (Jermel), Leandra, Clinard, Tia, Rashad, Jasmine (Joshua), 21 great grandchildren, 6 great greatgrandchildren. Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Christine C. Grant will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017, 11:30am at Temple of God Inc., 92 Whitefoord Ave., SE., Atlanta, GA., 30317.
