Cheron Boyd

Cheron walked through life with each passing day continuously grateful for his family and friends. Motivated to see, experience and touch all that he could, Cheron would be known as a man of God, husband, father, artist, clothing designer and author– to name a few. Cheron had a passion to see the world and all that it had to offer, traveling to many countries such as Greece, Italy, France, China and more. He also loved cars, high fashion and entrepreneurship, which was evident by his style and vast business ideas. Though his hobbies were many, they tell just one side of who he truly was. Cheron was also determined and never started something he did not finish. This was evident through his passion for Accounting, which he contributed to for over 10 years and worked diligently to earn a degree in – in only 2.5 years from Oglethorpe University. This then led him to continue his journey of professional development and success with Cousins Properties – a company he genuinely loved and enjoyed contributing to as a Senior Property Accountant. His determination and visionary mindset would also spark him to create his Christian inspired clothing line Maison de Dieu in 2018, which made its runway debut during New York’s Fashion Week that same year. But as a man of many talents, Cheron also added author to his list of trailblazing activities with his first book The Rites of Resistance in 2019. But while Cheron achieved much in his lifetime, his greatest fulfillment was marrying the love of his life, Amen Boyd on Valentine’s Day of 2015 in Atlanta, GA after 4.5 years of dating. Amen and Cheron loved one another unconditionally and continued to grow together in their walk with Christ, counseling couples through their ministry My Outcry, Inc. and Victory Church – to share their testimony and love of God. Through their love, they also welcomed two handsome sons Adamosa and Akao. Cheron’s greatest joys in his life would be his role as a father, a role he never took for granted. Though life took Cheron through many battles it was the love of his wife and children that gave him the strength to survive until the very end. Cheron’s life may seem too short to many, but those he touched understand that his quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time he lived on this earth. His smile and playful personality brought so much joy to his family, friends and colleagues. Cheron would like you to know that his work here is done. He has received a call, a sort of offer he could not refuse, for an appointment he was honored to accept. His assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family he has not seen in a long time and most of all – healing. We will remember his smile, his warmth, his energy, his love for life, and his love for God. He worked very hard all his life and continued to defy the odds, up until the very end.
