Catherine V. Haynes

Catherine V. Haynes, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 22, 2024, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was born on August 29, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, Duval County, to her parents Beulah Mae Shipp and Luther Shipp. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her sister Leslie R. Daniels and Charles Moses and daughter Tiffany Haynes. Catherine is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Haynes, her treasured children Frederick Haynes, Jr., Carmen Stafford, Karibe Haynes, and Courtney Haynes, her sister Gail Shipp, brothers Danny Shipp and Frank Shipp, her grandchildren Ciara Stafford, Chloe Stafford, John Stafford, Kayla Haynes, Abrianna Haynes, K2 Haynes, and Nita Haynes as well as a host of great-grandchildren. Over the course of her 71 years, she formed strong bonds with a host of close friends and cousins, all of whom she adored. She married Frederick Haynes in 1973 and dedicated herself to her family and her career. In 1983, Catherine also relocated to Norcross, Georgia, where she built a beautiful life with her family. Catherine worked as a Telecommunications Specialist at AT&T for 30 years, where she made a lasting impact and formed many cherished friendships. Catherine was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church for over 25 years, where she served on the usher board and lived out her faith. She was a proud alumna of Asher School of Business and Dekalb College, and she valued education and lifelong learning. Above all, Catherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her family and found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
