Pastor Carol Jones Momoh

Carol Jones–Momoh was born in Roanoke, Alabama, on December 7, 1960, to the late Fred Douglas and Lela Mae Jones. She transitioned to be with the Lord on February 15, 2024, with her loved ones by her side. Carol graduated from Lagrange College and retired as an Investigator at U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development after 25 years. In 1998, Carol met Benny, and they married a year later Benny and Carol went on to have one child, Benny Jr. Carol was a devoted wife and an asset to her husband, Benny, and the ministry. Carol was a devoted and loving mother to her son. He was his mother’s heart. Throughout Carol’s life, she exemplified unwavering faith, kindness, and compassion; she has touched the lives of countless individuals within her church and beyond. As the First Lady of Overcomers Christian Fellowship, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to serving others, embodying the values of love, generosity, and service. Her commitment to her faith was evident in every aspect of her life, from her involvement in church activities to her role as a mentor and confidante to many. Pastor Carol will be remembered for her grace, humility, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Pastor Benny Momoh; son, Benny Momoh, Jr.; brother, Ronnie (Vickie) Jones; nephew, Joey (Justine) Jones; nieces, Kokeithia Jones, Sophia Jones, and Whitney (Chris) Ogbu; best friend, Irene Cason; and a host of great-nieces and nephews who will cherish her special memory. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Linda L. Jones; and nephew, Ronnie Jason Jones, Jr. Celebration of Life for Pastor Carol Jones Momoh will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024, 11am at Overcomers Christian Fellowship, 7373 Covington Hwy., Lithonia, GA., 30058.
