Mr. Brian Troy Williams

Brian Troy Williams was born on July 26, 1974 in San Franciso, California, to proud parents Sue Mitchell-Lee and the late Randall Williams. Affectionately referred to as Troy by family and friends, he was an intellectual with an infectious laugh, incredibly charming personality and a smile that would light up any room. Brian received his formal education in San Francisco, California and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1992. He went onto to obtain his Associate’s Degree from Heald Business College in San Francisco. If you knew Brian you knew that he loved people, animals, nature, and had recently renewed his love of fishing. His generosity was endless and he believed in tithing in real time, by helping people when and where he could. Brian Troy loved to cook and host family and friends; his love language was acts of service and kindness and he was very intentional about how he showed up in people’s lives. When Brian met Keisha there was an instant connection between them. Brian was being promoted on his job and they hired two people for his position. If you knew Brian you know that he took pride in a job well done and was known to do the job of many. In October 1997, Keisha came in for the interview and their story started from that moment. As Brian trained Keisha on the position their friendship began to bloom. In January 1998 they went on their first date to the Cliff House in San Francisco and from that point on they were inseparable. They married on New Year’s Eve 1998 at the young ages of 21 and 24. In 2001 they moved to Virgina, however later returned to San Francisco where they started the infamous “That Takes the Cake”. Together they successfully owned and operated one of the 1st Cupcake Boutiques in San Francisco for several years. They were an unstoppable team in Love, Life and Business. The couple later moved to Georgia where Brian joined the Delta Dental Family, quickly moving up the latter enabling him to see his dream of home ownership become a reality. Brian wanted to provide for his family and give them the life he thought was deserved and that’s what he did. Brian and Keisha enjoyed cooking and baking together, going to concerts, live shows, movies, sporting events, festivals, and nature walks. On February 28, 2024, Brian slipped peacefully into his eternal resting place at the young age of 49. He is preceded in death by his father Randall Williams; stepfather Robert Lee; beloved grandmothers: Mona “Mama” Mitchell and Bernice Williams; grandfathers: Freddie Mitchell, Sr. and Whitney Williams; uncle: Freddie Mitchell, Jr.; aunts: Carol Jean Jefferson, Willett Mitchell, Monique Mitchell, Wilhelmena Williams and Diane Mosley; and fur baby: Marley. He leaves to cherish his memories, his lovely devoted wife of 26 years, Keisha Williams; mother, Sue Mitchell-Lee; brothers, Michael Brown, Brian Patterson (Lena) and Leon ; daughter/niece: Lena Yvonne Dunman; fur babies: Shiloh, Autumn, Daisy and Django; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.
