Ms. Betel Solomon

Betel Solomon was born on June 12, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the cherished daughter of Adey Ketema (Tutu) and Solomon Feleke. Betel attended Knight Elementary, Trickum Middle School and graduated from Parkview High School in May 2022. To pursue her dream of being an architect, she decided to go to Georgia State University and was a freshman when she passed away unexpectedly. The firstborn to her parents, Betel was raised to be a strong, spiritual, and loving human being and she surpassed all their expectations. Betel was a very happy, deeply religious and athletic young teenager. When she was younger, she was a choir girl at Bisrate Gabriel and Sahlete Meheret St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Church. Betel also went on to become a fearless soccer player who made the varsity team and also a trendsetter in GSA. Betel was a pianist and a gymnast as well. Our Betel was an elegant, smart, and beautiful creation of God who trusted everyone around her to a fault, so much so that her parents were concerned that others would take advantage of her kindness. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She loved traveling, shopping, and visiting different places. She was very much interested in fashion and fascinated by architectural drawings and designs. Betel was a fashionista who had a dream to be a fashion designer and leave her own footprint in the world. She knew what she wanted & how to plan and achieve it. The beautiful and kind Betel was also an animal lover since she was a little girl. She shadowed a veterinarian at a dog shelter and went on to foster puppies to pursue her dream to be a veterinarian. Before she changed her major to architecture, she had a dream to run an animal shelter in her own name or Lucky, her beloved dog. Our dear Betel, who had a bright future ahead of her, passed away unexpectedly on March 16, 2023, while on spring break vacation with her friends, leaving her family and friends in shock and in tremendous grief. Betel will be remembered and greatly missed by her mother Adey Ketema (Tutu), her father Solomon Feleke, her sister Betania Solomon and all her family and friends. May she rest in peace in heaven.
