Mr. Auston Banks

Auston Banks, 18 Our Mighty Warrior, Auston Banks of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was born on January 24, 2005, in Decatur, Georgia to Sonia Davis-Bey. He passed away May 4, 2023, in his home surrounded by family and friends. Auston was a brave, selfless, and dynamic young man who made an impact on everyone he met. His bright and bubbly, personality was infectious and never failed to bring joy to others. His genuine care for people was never hindered by the hardships he experienced throughout his life. Growing up in Georgia, Auston was fearless and never shied away from a challenge. In fact, he tirelessly worked on his school assignments, and his efforts allowed him to celebrate his high school graduation from Peachtree Ridge High School on March 10, 2023. Auston was a kid at heart who enjoyed anime, playing video games and cards, dancing, and making TikTok videos. His dance moves never failed to make others want to join in on the fun. While he could be playful, Auston liked the finer things of life like high-end sports shoes and luxury cars. Besides those safer things, he liked to walk on the edge, too. He loved the more daring sports of boxing and football, riding roller coasters, and riding along with professional drivers on the high-speed Porsche test track. Fear was not in his vocabulary. While Auston enjoyed all of those things, his favorite pastime was hanging out and pouring into his relationships with his family and friends. He encouraged many others to push and fight past obstacles that stood against them. He had the innate ability to see the best in each situation and how to persevere through the unique challenges and curveballs that life often brings. Auston leaves to cherish in his memory, his mom, Sonia Davis-Bey, and sister, Natalya Marie Banks of Lawrenceville, GA, along with his Nana Sonia Crawford McAnuff of Stone Mountain, GA. He also leaves behind a host of uncles aunties, and cousins: Indy Smalls, Bronx, NY; Karen Frazier, Conyers, GA; Shavell Gordon, Grand Rapids, MI; Christopher Stewart, Mableton, GA; Brianna McAnuff of Atlanta, GA; Monroe McAnuff of Denver, CO; Rickita Burney of Jonesboro, GA; Carla Tubbs of Orem, Utah; Wiley Maddox and Zoe Giver of Michigan City, IN; cousins Shalena,Khali, Zariya, Amira, and Amara. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents Aston McAnuff and Gwendolyn Swinnie, Auntie Jennifer Clemmings, and Uncle James Davis-Bey I.
