April Louise Bates McClendon

Life Celebration of April Louise Bates-McClendon, affectionally known as (Baby Girl). April was born on August 30, 1964, to Prophetess Laura Mae Bates of Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated best all-around student from Luther Judson Price High School in 1982. April accepted Christ at an early age. In the faith of God’s loving and enlighten way April was a member of Bethel Outreach Deliverance Ministries under the leadership of the Prophetess Amber Jean Barber. In 1988, April exchanged vows with Apostle Jeffrey McClendon and to that union three children were born. She continues to walk with her husband through her Christian faith at Open Door Outreach Center under Apostle Mary D. Lawrence. April was ordained in 1992 in ministry and served with her husband for many years as co-pastor. April’s life quest validated the ministry in entrepreneurship, in volunteering and in mentoring. April steps were ordered by the Lord and he delighted in her as a woman of God. April believe that she was commissioned to inspire and empower this generation to change. April ministry was all about edifying others, exhortation others and encouraging others. She accomplished her mission by providing the roles of a model, a mentor and a help to the body of Christ by focusing on her assignments. As April worked in this life she amplified many. Not only was April a Woman of God, a wife, a mother of three and a friend to many. April was professional that lead her to work in the office as an administrator and supporter with Delta Airlines. This role called her to be a pillar to many agencies throughout Atlanta and abroad. April was an exceptional woman and a dedicated employee “those who knew April loved her”. She attended Clark Atlanta University and later received her Bachelor of Business Degree from Strayer University in Morrow, Georgia. April departed this life on Tuesday, December 20, 2016. She is survived by one daughter Abriel, two sons Joel and Arron, one grandson Princeton and god daughter Sheina Sneed, mother Prophetess Laura Mae Bates, sister Valerie (Bernard) Turner, Demetrius (Sondia) Bates, Thaddeus (Jeanne) Bates, and four other siblings; Dexter, Elvin, Ethel Mae, and Susan. Two Uncles: Apostle Jesse Bates, James & Phyllis Bates, Four Aunties: Prophetess Bobbie Paggett, Missionary Betty Mabry, Rose Way & Gaynell Bilal. Two Neices: Nicole Randolph & DeNetra Bates and a host of other relatives/ friends. April was proceeded in death by her father Leroy Foreman Sr., Paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Early and Ethel Foreman Maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Jesse Sr. and Louise Bates, three brothers Collis Foreman, Leroy Foreman Jr, Dewitt Foreman.
