Annie Mildred Hall

Annie Mildred Hall, age 86, died at her home on Sunday, April 18, 2021, due to sudden health complications. Annie Mildred Mayweather was born on January 29, 1935, in Hancock County, Georgia to Johnny Lee and Odessa Jones Mayweather. She is predeceased by her parents, six siblings, Mary Louise Riley, Ruby Russell, Marvin Mayweather, Johnny Lee Mayweather, William ‘Will’ Mayweather, and James Clifford Mayweather. Annie Mildred completed her formal education in the Winder-Barrow County School System. She began employment as a dietary aide in the Button Gwinnett Hospital. She also worked at Genesco, a shoe manufacturing company and Roses Department Store. She retired after working as a domestic engineer for many years. She was united in holy matrimony to the late James Leonard Hall, Sr. on July 4, 1953. To this union, six beautiful children were born. After her matrimony to James Leonard Hall, Sr., she joined The Appalachee Baptist Church, currently, Christ the King Church, in Dacula, Georgia. She served as a Deaconess, freely bestowing her gifted beautiful voice and services throughout the community. Before marriage, she was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church in Auburn. Love, compassion, warmth, and a sense of service to others were the ideals and values by which Annie Mildred lived and expressed throughout her life, which is a lasting record worthy of admiration. Annie Mildred, Aunt Bip, Grannie, Grandma, Miss Sally, Ms. Mildred, Silver Fox, and Miss Diva, as she was affectionately known both far and near, was the ‘Mother’ to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews, and their friends. Indelible and captivating hallmark attributes of Annie Mildred were her infectious smile, generosity, natural beauty, and kindness. Annie Mildred was renowned for her stellar southern cooking. A friend commented, “there was no such thing as coming for a visit and not eating”. Annie Mildred loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. No one was considered a stranger. It is also noteworthy that Ms. Diva became Ginger Rogers on the dance floor. She was definitely ‘light’ on her feet, simply captivating. Left to cherish beautiful memories of Annie Mildred are her daughters, Gloria (Joseph) Wilson of Dacula, Georgia, and Linda C. Allen of Dacula, Georgia; sons, James (Cynthia) Hall, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA, Gary Hall (domestic partner, Donna Tanner) of Dacula, Georgia; Andra (Cassandra) Hall of Dacula, Georgia, Terry (Denise) Hall, Sr. of Lawrenceville, Georgia and honorary son, Donald (Carisa) Mayweather of Statham; honorary daughter, Janet Heffner; honorary son, Lawrence Wilson; son-in-law, William Allen; grandchildren, Camelia Tanner, James (Tina) Hall III, Erika Hall, James Allen, Kendra (Alan) Patterson, Adrianna (Clayton) Edmonds, Shannon (Courtney) Hall, Kyron Anderson, Andre’ Hall, Terry Hall, Jr., Jorian Anderson, Andrea Hall, Brandon Hall, Jaylen Anderson, and Jaylin Hall;11 great-grandchildren, five brothers, Reverend Joe Lewis (Barbara) Mayweather, Reverend Tommy (Irene) Mayweather, Fred (Judy) Mayweather, Sr., and James Henry (Margaret) Mayweather, and sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friend - Semi Hardy - friends, and church family – all of whom loved to be in her company. The Queen, the beautiful Silver Fox has left a lasting footprint on the hearts of beloved ones. Her life character - a person possessed as it was with Beauty, Loveliness, Godliness, and Purpose - will be missed. Annie Mildred’s deeds, good work, and Christian example shall follow her long after she is interred in her final place of rest. Services entrusted to Gregory B.
