Anjelique N Smith

Anjelique Nicole Smith, affectionately known as Le-Le, blessed the family with her presence on January 15, 1996. Oh! What a beautiful day it was. Le-Le was a very welcomed addition to her sister and brother and became the baby of the family. Although her time here was too short, she shared many special bonding moments with her family. When she was 2 years old, her immediate family moved to Maryland where they remained until relocating to Virginia. While in Virginia, homeschooling was started for Anjelique, and as the family moved to and settled in Gwinnett County, Georgia, homeschooling was continued through the 8th grade. Le-Le transitioned to South Gwinnett High School where she received an attendance award, never missing a day in four years. Anjelique was athletically and musically inclined. She played softball and her instrument of choice was the guitar. After high school she went to Gwinnett Technical College, where she received a diploma in Carpentry. Also, while at Gwinnett Technical College, she received several awards. Anjelique really enjoyed working with her hands and assisting her grandfather with his home improvement projects. She was a very meticulous person about her finished projects. Anjelique was very pleased when she obtained a position at Masonite in Lawrenceville, Georgia, because it aligned with her interest in carpentry. When she was not at work, she maintained an interest in studying Spanish and learning how to create music. She also enjoyed reading her Bible and she often prayed with her mom. Anjelique enjoyed cooking, and learning about and tasting different kind of foods. Cooking with the family especially at holiday times was a passion of hers. When the food was ready, she was ready to start eating with or without the guests. Timeliness was very important to her. Anjelique, although reserved, was not shy. Anyone who spent time with her would become familiar with the quirky kind of joy only she was capable of spreading. She had a kind and generous heart and was always ready to help anyone in need. This is one of her greatest gifts which her family and friends will truly miss. Anjelique is survived by her loving family: her parents, Milton and Sharon Smith; sister and brother, Amber and Marcus Smith; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
