Mrs. Aldine Bobbie Walker

Aldine Bobbie Lazette Thomas Walker, affectionally known to many as Bob, was born on October 21, 1963, to the late Mr. Johnnie L. and Mrs. Dorothy W. Thomas in Atlanta, Georgia. From an early age, Aldine developed a deep and enduring love for God - a love that shaped her life and was evident in everything she did. She nurtured her faith as a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in numerous capacities. Aldine attended C. L. Harper, where she graduated in 1981. Her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and unmistakable flair left a lasting impression on everyone who met her. While matriculating at C.L. Harper, Aldine met her husband, Kelley A. Walker, who attended a neighboring school. The two married in August 1983 and have developed a love story that has withstood the test of time. Their union was blessed with four children, who became the joy of Aldine’s life. Aldine’s selflessness was a hallmark of her character. She had a passion for helping others and would do so without question, not expecting anything in return. For decades, she was employed within the Fulton County Courthouse. She was blessed to have a job where she impacted the lives of many through her kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for others. She cherished the friendships she formed there and maintained many of them long after her retirement in 2018. After her retirement, Aldine enjoyed her favorite things: watching black and white television shows, participating virtually as a contestant on game shows, shopping, and, most importantly, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nana, held a special place in her heart. Aldine’s faith enabled her to stand tall in the face of adversity, as she always held to God’s unchanging hand. Her faith is what enabled her to provide words of encouragement to those in need, and her faith is what carried her. She believed that you should never question God’s timing and always attempted to find a silver lining in any situation. She will be truly missed by all who knew her, and words cannot adequately capture the impact of the legacy she leaves behind. On January 19, 2026, Aldine transitioned peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie L. and Dorothy W. Thomas, and her sister, Johnnie I. Haynes. Left to cherish her memory and to carry her legacy include: her devoted husband, Kelley A. Walker, Ellenwood, Georgia; her four beloved children: Mrs. Ebonique (Mical) Boozer, McDonough, Georgia, Mrs. Kellie (Derrick) Thomas, Snellville, Georgia, Ms. Ashley Walker, Ellenwood, Georgia, and Mr. Kelley Walker, II, Stockbridge, Georgia; and her five treasured grandchildren: Camille Greggs, Jaden Thomas, Zoey Thomas, Cade Boozer, and Campbell Boozer. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of loving relatives and cherished friends. The memories Aldine created, the love she shared, and the light she brought into the lives of others will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
