Profile of Life Adreane LaKeisha Ellington, age 40 of Decatur, GA; was called home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a struggle with epileptic seizures for 6 years. Adreane gave her life to Jesus. She joined Peace Baptist Church on July 31, 2008. Adreane was born October 10, 1976 to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy and Joyce Ellington in Decatur, GA. She graduated Cedar Grove High School in 1995. Adreane attended Georgia Southern University and Georgia State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations/Psychology in May 2000. After 4 years working in public relations and human resources roles, Adreane attended Dekalb Technical College where she earned a Master of Cosmetology degree in 2004. She earned a certification as a Cosmetology Instructor in 2010 from Empower Beauty School in Kennesaw, GA. Adreane worked in several salons around the South Dekalb area prior to working as a stylist in her home where she could evangelize, pray, and sing as she transformed women to look their best. She was a very caring and devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and niece. She truly loved her children, Cameron (13) and Demi (6 weeks) in whom she took pleasure in spending time with and loved so dearly. She leaves loving memories to a devoted parents Leroy and Joyce Ellington; son, Cameron Chaney Svay; daughter, Demi Alyse Ellington; sisters Erica Ellington and Andreane Ellington (Twin); nephew Blake Austin all of Ellenwood, GA; Grandmother Sylvia C. Thurman; uncles and aunts, Willie Fred Ellington (Arlene); Verla Harvey; Earnestine (James) Shipman; Loretta (Sheppard) Boykin, Joanne McCullough, Henry (Andrea) Ellington; Daniel (Mary) Thurman; Aunts Gwendolyn Sims; Theresa Whaley; Michael (Patricia) Thurman, and many special cousins, classmates and friends. Funeral Monday, June 19, 2017, 11am at Peace Baptist Church, 4000 Covington Hwy, Decatur, GA., Her remains will lie in state at 10am until the hour of service. Burial at Kennedy Memorial Gardens.
