Tiffany Carol Mitchell

Tiffany Carol Mitchell was born on September 14, 1980, to Steve O’Neal Mitchell, Sr., and Carolyn Turner Mitchell of Decatur, Georgia. She was affectionately known as “Tip” and “Tweety.” Tiffany grew up in Decatur, where she attended DeKalb County Schools, graduating from Southwest DeKalb High School in 1999. She participated in various sports, such as softball and basketball. After graduating from high school, Tiffany continued her education in the aviation industry where she received many aviation certifications. Tiffany’s career afforded her the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally for over a decade. In recent years, she returned home to assist her father with the family business as a technician and special projects coordinator at Mitchell’s Appliances of Jonesboro, Georgia. Tiffany had an entrepreneurial spirit and understood the importance of ownership. Before the age of twenty-five, she purchased her first home in Ellenwood, Georgia, which she still owns. In her youth, Tiffany attended Greater Christ Temple Holiness Church, under the leadership of her grandfather, the late Suffragan Bishop W. B. Mitchell. Her favorite scripture was Proverb 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thine ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Tiffany was active in the Youth Department, GCT Joyful Voices Youth Choir, Vacation Bible School, and Usher Board III. Tiffany was a free spirit, living life to the fullest on her own terms. To honor her paternal grandfather, she purchased twenty-two acres of land in Woodbury, Georgia. In 2022, the Lord blessed Tiffany to purchase her second home to reside in Woodbury to enjoy a quiet country life. Tiffany really loved her hair, her dogs, wearing camouflage, and working with her hands. She enjoyed various hobbies, such as home improvement projects, car restoration, skating, fitness activities (lifting weights), and traveling. She was a lover of good food, especially pizza and seafood. She made it an annual tradition to travel to her favorite places, Seattle, Portland, Denver, and California. On January 18, 2024, the Lord called Tiffany home. She leaves to cherish a lifetime of memories: her parents, Steve O’Neal Mitchell, Sr., and Carolyn Turner Mitchell of Lithonia, GA; brother, Steve O’Neal Mitchell, Jr., of Lithonia, GA; fur baby, a Blue Nose Pitbull, Kato; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
