Our beloved Melanie Aliece Jackson departed this world on January 13, 2025. Born on April 9, 1977, in Rochester, PA, Melanie was a beacon of love and compassion to all who knew her. She was the cherished daughter of Ms. Pamela Spencer and Mr. Kevin Tillman, both of whom preceded her in death. Melanie spent her formative years in New Brunswick, NJ, where she graduated from New Brunswick High School. Her passion for caring for others led her to a fulfilling career in the medical field. She served as a dedicated phlebotomist at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital and later became a medical assistant, roles in which she touched many lives with her gentle spirit and skilled hands. In 2010, Melanie embarked on a new chapter by moving to Atlanta, Georgia. There, she made a lasting impact during her decade-long tenure at Emory Mountain Park, where she touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues with her compassion and professionalism. Though her journey was not without its trials, Melanie's strength and resilience shone brightly. She leaves behind her estranged husband, Troy Jackson, and their two sons, Kevin Jackson and Kyle Jackson, who were the light of her life. Her profound love for her boys shone in her every action and word, imbuing them with the same strength and kindness that she carried within herself. Her loving spirit will also be cherished by her sister, Tiffany Mason, and brother-in-law, Eric Mason who stood by her side through thick and thin. Their bond was one of unbreakable support, a testament to the family ties that define us. Melanie was a beloved aunt to her four nephews, and one niece, Jihaad Pollard, Aaron Mason, Israel Mason, and Dallas & Brooklyn Mason who preceded her in death. Her grandfathers, Mr. Adam Tillman and Theodore Roosevelt Spencer, and her grandmothers, Mrs. Jerelene Tillman and Vivian Spencer, who preceded her in death, also shaped her life and remain cherished figures in her family’s history. A special friend, Talia Pfeifer, was also a bright star in Melanie's life, providing comfort and understanding during her most challenging times. Melanie's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, a radiant reminder of love, resilience, and the indelible mark she left on the world. Melanie’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and perseverance. Her laughter, compassion, and unwavering strength will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. As we gather to celebrate her remarkable life, we hold close the memories and the immense love she shared with us all. In our sorrow, we find comfort in the legacy of love she leaves behind.
