Joshua Keondray Bailey

JOSHUA KEONDRAY BAILEY was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 21, 1989 to Norma Louise Bailey (Hendrick). As a toddler, he and his family moved to Atlanta, GA in 1996. JOSH was preceded in death by his grandmother Carolyn Denise Bailey, and step-sister Gabrielle Hendrick. JOSH accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was a great man of faith. He worked on Sundays for a few years but said he was excited about leaving his weekend job so that he could attend church. He was finally able to attend service again the weekend before his homegoing and was excited to call and share the news with his mother. JOSH attended Shiloh High School in Snellville, GA, then Gwinnett Technical College, before earning a degree from Year Up in Atlanta. That wonderful opportunity led him into a career in Information Technology, which he enjoyed. He worked in IT at Norfolk Southern for several years before receiving a promotion and landing a role at the prestigious KPMG as IT Technology Ambassador. His career plan was to move into the field of Cyber Security. JOSH was a passionate and loving man. First and foremost, he was an amazing Father to Jordyn. From day one, he made a promise to be the best Dad he could be and he certainly kept that promise. He was also a great father figure to all of the wonderful children in his life. He spent a great deal of time and made precious memories with his soon to be step children Keylen and Jriah, his nephew Jaden, and Jordyn’s sister and brothers Amir, Caysen, and “Ya-Ya”. He also loved football and spending time with family and friends. He played football in elementary, middle, and high school, and continued to coach football into adulthood. He always looked forward to family time, and when it came to his friends, JOSH was the life of the party! The Lord called His angel home in the early morning hours of Friday, June 14th, 2024. JOSH leaves to cherish his loving memories: (1) Son, Keondray Jordyn Bailey, Mother Norma (Eric) Hendrick of Oxford, GA, (1) Sister Felisia A. Bailey, (2) Step Brothers Miles Hendrick and Kent Stanley, all of Atlanta, Georgia, (1) nephew Jaden Kevon Bailey, Life Partner Kantrelle Sterling of Louisiana, his son’s Mother Adonna Davis of Atlanta, (1) uncle Charles A (Marva) Thompson of North Carolina, and a host of loving Great Aunts, Great Uncle, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Final services entrusted to Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Home, Avondale- Scottdale Chapel, 351 N. Clarendon Avenue, Scottdale, GA 30079. Celebration of Life Service for Joshua Keondray Bailey will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 1:00 PM. This service will be recorded and streamed live.
