Legacy of a Loving Wife and MotherAshley Marie Mitchell (nee’ Pickett) 29, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away suddenly at Gwinnett Medical Center on Thursday, September 11, 2014. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister who brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew her. Ashley was born in Columbus, OH on March 24, 1985. She graduated from East Columbus H.S. in 2004 and attended Jacksonville State University. Ashley recently returned to college to pursue a degree in Nursing from Brenau University. She worked as a Medical Assistant at Gwinnett Pediatrics for two years. Ashley was a loving and passionate woman of God who lived to serve and help others.Ashley was an avid reader, enjoyed fitness, traveling, attending church, and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband Taylor J. Mitchell, Sr. and her three children Taylor Jamal (6), Kenlee Ashlynn (3), and Samuel Josiah (1); her fathers’ Thires B. Pickett of Lawrenceville, GA and Virgil Roberson, Sr. of Columbus, OH , mother Monica Peaks of Columbus, OH, brother Virgil Roberson, Jr. of Columbus, OH, and two sisters Mershawna Pickett of Suwanee, GA, Alicia Pickett of the United States Marine Corp currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan, Father and Mother In-Law: Samuel and Sandra Mitchell of Naylor, Ga, Two sister n-laws: Kellie (Uriah) John of Palmetto, GA and Zakiya Mitchell of Marietta GA. 3 Nieces and one nephew: Zuriah, Kyllie, Kyrah and Zhydon John and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends To My Adorable WifeYou were more than just the definition of a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend;You were also a guardian angel, a lover and a fighter until the untimely end. While we Miss your displays of affection, your personality, and your smile, we will still have our memories of you and feel your presence over time.Through your children and your family your spirit will continue to live on, through our faith and our prayers we will develop the strength to carry on.While there are truly no words to describe how much you will be missed or the pain this loss brings, we can feel assured you are smiling down on us from Heaven, since our angel on earth was granted her wings.Home going services for Ashley Mitchell will be held 11AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at our GWINNETT chapel.
